Osa Peninsula Vacation Rentals

Casa Manglar

picture

Casa Manglar is a unique 4 bedroom tropical home located in Puerto Jimenez, Osa peninsula offering both a king and garden suite each with A/C, private bathrooms and walk in closets. The home is located on the same property as La Chosa del Manglar resort but they are physically separate from each other. Casa Manglar was the family home of the resort owners. The home is extraordinary in its sense of oneness with the environment. The home so smoothly blends into the natural surroundings that is sometimes difficult to define if one is inside or outside the home. Four species of Monkeys, Kinkajous, Raccoons, Coatis, Anteaters, Sloths, Armadillos, Raptors, Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, Crocodiles, Lizards, Snakes, Hummingbirds, many other birds, insects and reptiles all share the same space as our visitors. It's one of a kind!

Osa Beach Hut

picture

It's a killer beach hideaway with a funky ocean side cabana (sleeps 2 + comfortably) with large views of the ocean, mangrove & Golfo Dulce and the mountains in the background. A large cedar tree grows through the roof. The beach hut is completely functional for either short or long term stays. It sits on 15 acres of gardens in front of a very large beach bordering the Golfo Dulce. The entire property is a paradise. Tropical plants and animals abound. Scarlet Macaws, Toucans and 3 species of Monkey can be seen daily. Every year Whale Sharks and Humpback whales migrate right off-shore. Dolphins are constant visitors as are turtles and rays. When the tide is out the beach is enormous allowing for super long walks in either direction. Osa activities such as hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, horseback riding and fishing can all be arranged for your visit.

Osa Mountain Hut

picture

Located on Finca Chimpol in Rio Nuevo at 293 meters above sea level this mountainous hut gets you into the interior of the Osa. The cabin sits on the mountainous spine of the Osa. It offers mammoth views to Corcovado National Park in the north west as well as the Pacific Ocean. In the east one can watch daybreak over the the waters of the Golfo Dulce. The howling and hooting of the Congos or Howler Monkeys can be heard as you wait for sunrise. Scarlet Macaws & Toucans can be seen every day. This is rural, rustic accommodation offering three camp beds in a private room of an Osa mountain house. Your experience will be shared with the caretaker of the property coincidentally nicknamed Don Congo. It's a true adventure getting to Finca Chimpol, so it's only recommended for those who want a once in a lifetime Osa experience.

Kinkajou Hut

The Kinkajou Hut is a large suite with one King bed & tropical bathroom with views to a private garden. Kinkajous, Toucans, Scarlet Macaws & Capuchin Monkeys may drop by at any time of the day or night. It has a large walk-in closet with enough room for the most demanding traveler. I personally enjoy the private deck where you can take a natural time out and maybe even sip a cold one.
